Ever ordered a 26-inch bundle and thought… “Wait, this feels shorter?”You’re not alone. Understanding hair lengths—especially when shopping online—is key to getting the exact look you want. At Marcella Ellis Products, we want you to feel confident about every inch you buy.
Here’s what you need to know about hair length before you order:
How Hair Length Is Measured
Hair bundles are measured when the hair is pulled straight—even if it's curly or wavy. That means:
A 26” straight bundle will be full length.
A 26” body wave or curly bundle will appear shorter in its natural texture because of the curl pattern.
Example: A 26” raw body wave bundle may fall closer to 23–24” unless it’s flat ironed straight.
Visual Guide: Where Will the Hair Fall?
On average, here’s where hair lengths land on the body (varies by height):
14” → Collarbone
18” → Upper chest
22” → Mid-back
26” → Waistline
30”+ → Hips or lower
If you’re 5'8" or taller (like Taris 👀), add 1–2 inches to your ideal length for the look you want.
How Many Bundles Do You Need?
The longer the hair, the more bundles you'll need for fullness:
14–18” → 2–3 bundles
20–24” → 3 bundles
26–30” → 3–4 bundles for a full, luxe look
Want it thick all the way to the ends? Add an extra bundle, especially for body wave or curly textures.
Final Tip: Blend + Layer for a Natural Look
Many customers mix lengths (like 24”, 26”, 28”) to create a layered effect that looks more natural and frames the face. Our raw bundles blend beautifully no matter the combo.
